Thanks to Everyone Who Came to the HEAL First Coast Zoo Walk for Autism!
On Sunday, April 25,close to 1,000 participants converged at the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens for the HEAL Zoo Walk for Autism. Several NFL Jaguar Football Players and the Roar Cheerleaders led the way through the Zoo. Radio Disney was at the finish line with games and music to welcome the crowd!
Kyle Walsh was on site to create beautiful artwork for guests, as well as, face painters to decorate the faces of participants. The first 500 attendees had a blast touring the zoo on the zoo train courtesy of LPS. Individuals who raised more than $100 on their fundraising pages won an adorable First Coast Zoo Walk t-shirt. We would also like to congratulate the top four teams and thank them for their fundraising efforts. Each of the teams received tickets and a parking pass to The Player’s Championship generously donated by PSS Worldwide Medical Charities. This also includes access to the PSS Worldwide Medical Charities Chalet.
Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered and donated to the HEAL Zoo Walk. Proceeds from the Zoo Walk will directly benefit Autism programs, therapists, teachers and classrooms in public and private schools in the Greater Jacksonville Area. HEAL is being proactive in raising funds which will help supplement the loss to greatly needed Autism programs. Donations towards teams are still being accepted through July.
HEAL is thrilled that everyone could join us at the Jacksonville Zoo! We are already starting to plan the 2011 HEAL Zoo Walk. Please send us your pictures, suggestions and ideas to events@healautimsnow.org.
