Welcome to the Kicking World Hunger! home on the web!
Kicking World Hunger is the biggest soccer juggle-a-thon in the world (uh, that we know of), much like a walk-a-thon, but more fun! Participants sign up to juggle a soccer ball thousands of times while raising money to provide hope for children and communities that desperately need it.
You can join others from around the world juggling a soccer ball for children in need. In partnership with World Vision, Kicking World Hunger will provide lasting help. How?
Raise $30 and World Vision will provide 5 ducks to a hungry family.
Raise $75 and provide a dairy goat, nourishing a family with fresh milk, cheese, and yogurt.
Raise $105 and a family will be given a sheep, which not only provides wool for warm, long-last clothes, but will provide an income source when offspring are sold.
Along with the animals and farming supplies, recipients will be trained in proper care and management of their resources, as well as how to market their wares - things like dairy products, eggs, fruits, and vegetables.
Can you juggle a soccer ball to represent the countless children and families in need? Nearly 30,000 children die every day, most from hunger or preventable diseases. More than 1 billion children suffer a lack of proper nutrition, safe drinking water, decent sanitation facilities, health-care services, shelter, education and information.
