Albany Karma Thegsum Chöling (KTC) is seeking support for our upcoming Meditation-Thon. We are raising funds for Albany KTC as well as for the completion of Karma Triyana Dharmachakra (KTD) monastery.  By providing financial support to KTD and its affiliate KTC centers, a rich tradition of effective practices and teachings designed to cultivate peace, both towards oneself and others, is made available.

The Meditation-Thon is an effort to create a more peaceful world by creating a greater awareness of both benefits of meditation as well as the rich tradition of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

This year's event is part of a coordinated effort being undertaken by KTC Buddhist centers across the United States. KTC centers will be meditating around the clock for each weekend during the course of September. We are striving to collectively amass 720 hours, or 30 days, of meditation during the event.

Albany's event will take place from Thursday, September 13th through Sunday, September 16^th at Washington Park in Albany.  During the course of those 4 days at least one participant will be meditating at all times, day and night.  A small stage will be erected in the park where members of the Albany KTC will meditate during the day.  Participants will meditate at the nearby Tibetan shop, Little Moon, over night.
