Who are we helping?
- Today 1 in 110 children are diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Almost 1 in 70 boys has autism.
- It is estimated that 1.5 million Americans have autism.
- Autism is more common than pediatric cancer, diabetes, and AIDs combined!
- Autism is the fastest growing developmental disability in the US with a 10 - 17% annual growth.
- Currently, the US has $90 billion annual costs relating to autism. That is expected to double within the next decade.
- Cost of lifelong care can be reduced by 2/3 with early diagnosis and intervention.
- Most insurance companies will not pay for therapies for children with autism.
Not speech therapy
Not occupational therapy
Not behavioral therapy
Not biomedical interventions
- Families must pay for these therapies on their own and an intensive program can cost more than $60,000 a year.
The family is told that early intervention can help their child.
They then realize they are not able to access these services
Please help us help them!
