Colorado Ovarian Cancer Alliance mission: To promote awareness about ovarian cancer through
ADVOCACY | EDUCATION | SUPPORT
COCA members are survivors and volunteers who want to make a difference in Colorado in the battle against ovarian cancer. Ovarian cancer is a serious and under-recognized threat to women's health, and is one of the most under diagnosed and lethal of the gynecologic cancers. It is vital that we increase the awareness of this disease in Colorado, a disease often referred to as "the silent killer."
Our goals are:
1) To ADVOCATE for women with ovarian cancer, and for ovarian cancer awareness through participation in activities at the local, state and national levels. 2) To EDUCATE women, families, doctors and health care providers about early detection of ovarian cancer through our Survivors Teaching Students™ and COCA Speakers Bureau programs. 3) To SUPPORT survivors through offering regular Nicki's Circle Ovarian Cancer Support Groups.
We are a group of ovarian cancer survivors, health care providers and inspired volunteers. Please Help us help other women be more aware!
