What is Bowl for Kids' Sake? For the past 26 years, BFKS has been the largest, most successful fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Beaver County. This two-day event is a chance for everyone to make a difference by raising money to help at-risk children. Donations support our mentoring programs in schools and communities throughout Beaver County. Proceeds stay here to help our children in our County.
A BFKS team includes a team captain and five team members. Each person must raise a minimum of $50. Every team receives two games of bowling and shoe rental. Every team member receives complimentary Pizza Joe's, Bruster's of Bridgewater and beverages as well as chances to win great prizes. Our bowlers also receive a commemorative t-shirt.
How to become involved. Become a team captain by recruiting five people. Or, join a team. Our team captains and team members ask family, friends and co-workers to donate online in advance of our event. Then, join us for the party at Sim's Lanes!
Great prizes. Great food. Great fun. Great cause!
Super Bowler Prize To become a Super Bowl, an individual bowler must raise a minimum of $300 in donations. For every $300 raised, a Super Bowler will receive one chance to win two round-trip tickets valued at $800, courtesy of Southwest Airlines.
Super Team Prize To earn the title of Super Team, a team must raise a minimum of $700 in donations. For every $700 raised, Super Teams will receive one chance to win gift certificates for each bowler and a guest aboard the Just Ducky Tours of Pittsburgh, the city's only adventure tour on land and water. Members of the winning team will also receive car details courtesy of Best Buy in Monaca.
The contest drawing for the Super Bowler and Super Team prizes will take place on Monday, April 26 at the Appreciation Dinner (winner need not be present to win.)
Tips to Make Your Team a Striking Success!
Set an ambitious goal - Every $1200 raised enables us to Match another child. How many children will your team help?
Spread the word - Send an email to encourage people you know to donate or start a team. Encourage your employer to become a sponsor or register multiple teams for a friendly company competition.
Make it a challenge - Who can raise the most for kids on your team?

How to Raise $50 in Five Days for Bowl for Kids' Sake:
Day 1: Add your own $10
Day 2: Ask three family members for $5 each
Day 3: Ask three friends for $5 each
Day 4: Ask one neighbor for $5
Day 5: Ask one co-worker for $5
Congratulations! Now, keep going. Ask early. Ask often!
