How to build your fundraising page for the 2010 Be Brave and Shave Event:

1. Click on the orange GET STARTED button above
2. Choose your team  (Arlington County, Montgomery County, or Children’s National Medical Center)
3. Sign in:
   
   1. if you have an account with FirstGiving already, that's great!  Just enter your email, click the button for "I have an account" and enter your password.
   2. If you are new to FirstGiving,  WELCOME! Simply click on "I’m new to this site"
   3. Enter your title, first name, last name, address, city, state, zip code and email address.  Then create a password and you are ready to create your page.
4. Want to be part of a team? ABSOLUTELY!
   1. Click on the small link under the team name search box which says “SHOW ALL TEAMS”
   2. Four teams should be listed – Police, Fire, Sherriff, or Other.  Click on the orange join team link that corresponds to your team.
   3. Ignore the green "No Thanks" link
   4. Ignore the "add a new team" function
5. Next FirstGiving will ask you to create a URL for your page.  It should automatically give you the option of having your page URL include your name.  If it does not, type in your name and see if that URL is available.
   1. If it is not, try your name with a random number next to it
6. Click on "create your page"
7. Click on the orange "EDIT YOUR PAGE" button
8. Personalize your page with a photo and a message
9. Let your friends and family know that you are participating in Be Brave and Shae via email, Facebook, twitter, etc.
