My personal message:

Next month, I am running the Chicago marathon in support of Imerman Angels, a non-for-profit organization created by Jonny Imerman. Imerman Angels connects a person fighting cancer today (the cancer fighter) with someone who has beaten the same type of cancer (the cancer survivor). This one-on-one relationship provides the cancer fighter the opportunity to ask personal questions and receive encouragement from someone who is uniquely familiar with the situation. It allows the cancer survivor the opportunity to personally help a fighter as he or she continues to battle the disease.

We can all relate to needing support when going through hard times and Imerman Angels provides the support system in such a special way. Personal support from someone who has "been there" creates a healing opportunity beyond what doctors, family, or friends can offer.

Naturally, Imerman Angels requires funds to support, operate and link cancer fighters with cancer survivors. My goal is to raise at least $1310, which represents $50 for every mile I'm running. Please help me in supporting this organization by donating to this great cause. By making a pledge on my behalf, not only are you helping to keep this service 100% free for the fighters and survivors, you are also helping provide the funds needed to extend the reach and knowledge of this amazing service.
