On behalf of Kyle I want to thank you for visiting this site. As you are aware, on June 29, 2008; we welcomed Kyle into our family. All seemed fine for the first hour or so until the doctors noticed something appeared to be wrong. Kyle's body temperature was very low and he was having trouble breathing. The intial diagnosis was Down's Syndrome and a ECO-Cardio exam was done to confirm Kyle had a Total AV Canal Defect. We are preparing for his heart surgery on November 5th of this year. It is through our faith in God and the team @ Arnold Palmer's Children Hospital that Kyle will get through this like a champ. These past few month have been trying times and yet I feel more blessed now than ever before. Our family would have never gotten through the intial period and weeks that followed if not for the support of family, friends, co-workers, fellow parishoners and complete strangers who not only prayed for us but did so much more. Because of all of you, my faith in Humanity has been renewed. Our priest back home said " God sends people into our lives in a very special way". Kyle is that person. It's sad that it takes something such as this to truly count your blessings. I know times are tough for people and I feel humble asking for your donations. This is truly a worthy cause and helps out so many families dealing with this situation. My family is blessed because of everyone out there but I know all are not as fortunate. The money you contribute will help out families who are unable to provide the services children with Down's so desperately need. I have no doubt that our son Kyle will grow up and be whatever he wants to be. Our family will encourage, support, and most importantly LOVE him through this journey. I ask if you are unable to contribute at this time that you continue to pray for Kyle. So many of us have been blessed with so much and we owe it all to God Almighty. Our priest back in S FLA use to say "many hands make light work". Please ponder that statement when choosing to contribute to this cause or any other worthy charity out there.
