Description
San Francisco State has distinguished itself as a center of academic scholarship, creative innovation and civic involvement. Located in one of the most vibrant and popular cities in the world, a range of ideas, opinions and resources converge at SF State to offer students unparalleled opportunities for learning, exploration, creativity and discovery. Founded in 1899, SF State enrolls more international students than any other master's degree-granting institution in the United States. SF State is part of the California State University (CSU) – the largest higher education system granting bachelor's and master's degrees in the country. Among SF State’s more distinctive characteristics, over one third of the University’s nearly 30,000 students volunteer annually to serve the Bay Area through Community Service Learning.
