Thanks for visiting my Triabetes fundraising page.
Your donation will help Triabetes, a Title C Non-Profit, promote fitness and healthy living for diabetics worldwide. Through programs like "Triabuddies" we hope to enlighten and inspire everyone we meet by promoting our message, especially to children, who often have the hardest time coping with being a diabetic.
November 22nd 14 type 1 diabetics will compete in Ironman Arizona. 2.4 miles of swimming, 114 miles of cycling, and 26.2 miles of running all packed into one race. If this seems like an insurmountable task to you, imagine for a moment how mixing a potentially deadly disease into the equation would factor. But I am not trying to promote Ironman, instead, I am trying to spread the message that a healthy lifestyle, like the one I am living while training for Ironman, is of utmost importance in helping to control this disease and live a long, healthy life.
I have had seen friends die from this. I've seen how a 10 year old is affected when they come home from school to find their mother dead from diabetic complications - which could have been avoided if she would have chosen an active lifestyle - and I do not want anyone else to suffer like she has. So help me spread the word through Triabetes.org.
A $50 donation will automatically enter you in a drawing to win my 58cm Cervelo P2SL. You can see an actual photo of this bike to the left. I will have my 9 year-old Triabuddy Cadhan pull a name from a hat at the Triabetes reception party for Ironman Arizona to decide the winner of the bike and I will have it delivered to the winner, wherever they may reside. See my blog for more information.
Be sure to follow me as I reach my goals of fundraising and racing for Triabetes at http://diabeticscant.blogspot.com. Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
