Dear Friends and Family,
Hi! I’m Lanier, I am 11 years old and have Autism. In this picture is my very best friend "Macon" she is my service dog and will be my walking partner for the Zoo Walk. I am a happy child and my parents say I have been a true inspiration to our family. Although I progress everyday, life is sometimes a great struggle for me. If it weren't for the wonderful support of my family, teachers, therapists and physicians, life would be much more challenging.
My Mom and Dad co-founded The HEAL Foundation with my favorite, Doctor Julie Buckley. The HEAL Foundation has granted over $700,000 to local schools, camps, programs and financial aid- Because of people like YOU~ HEAL has helped so many kids, teens and adults with Autism.
My Mom says “HEAL provides many avenues for individuals with Autism to receive assistance through a variety of programs and support”.
The greatest Angels I know are teachers, therapists and my service dog Macon as they have taught me so much and are so patient with me, because I cannot talk. We need to celebrate them and let them know just how much we appreciate all they do for kids with Autism.
