Thank you for visiting our fundraising page!
The three of us work at SafeLink, the only statewide domestic violence hotline in Massachusetts. 2010 marks SafeLink's 10th year anniversary, which is why we are especially excited to be running the 2010 Boston Marathon in support of SafeLink.
SafeLink, a program of Casa Myrna Vazquez, has been operating 24 hours a day, every day of the year since October 2000, providing multilingual access to safety planning, supportive listening, direct connection to emergency shelters and supportive services statewide, and information and resources on the issue of domestic violence.
Together with other SafeLink staff and volunteers, we answer upwards of 100 calls each day from people looking for help and information. Callers may be in danger and in need of a safe place for themselves and their children. Or they may need an empathetic listener to talk about issues they may have been hesitant or too ashamed to discuss with anyone before.
SafeLink reaches more individuals and families each year than any other domestic violence program in Massachusetts, providing the greatest potential to transform lives of all those living in fear and abuse.
We sincerely hope that you will sponsor our run and donate to help maintain this critically important resource.
No donation is too small to make a difference!
Thank you all so very much for your support!
