For those of you who may not know, I am running the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon (my first full marathon) in October in support of Imerman Angels. 

Imerman Angels is a not-for-profit organization that connects a person fighting cancer today (the cancer fighter) with someone who has beaten the same type of cancer (the cancer survivor). This one-on-one relationship provides the cancer fighter the opportunity to ask personal questions and receive encouragement from someone who is uniquely familiar with the situation, and it allows the cancer survivor the opportunity to personally help a fighter as he or she continues to battle the disease.  They also do a great deal more... go to www.imermanangels.org/ to find further information about the organization.

Cancer has impacted all of our lives either directly or indirectly, myself certainly included as my mother lost her battle with cancer when I was about 5 years old.  The support Imerman Angels provides to those dealing with the disease in one way or another is invaluable.

Please help me support this organization by donating as little or as much as you would like.  Also, see if your company has a program that will match your donation.  By making a pledge on my behalf, not only are you helping to keep this service 100% free for the fighters and survivors, you are also helping provide the funds needed to extend the reach and knowledge of this amazing service.
